An immersive bilingual environment integrating the best of China and the West
在日常教學(xué)中,我們確立了不同年級中英授課的雙語環(huán)境的結(jié)構(gòu)性比重。總體上英語授課的比重,隨著年級增加而增加,小學(xué)一年級達40%,初中達80%。不僅在日常教學(xué)中提倡多使用英語,而且在課堂外、在各種校園活動和生活的每一個細節(jié)中都努力提高英語使用的比重。我們一直在努力為全體師生創(chuàng)設(shè)-一個沉浸式的雙語環(huán)境,用英語講好中國故事。也讓學(xué)生們做好語言上的準(zhǔn)備,以充分應(yīng)對未來國際化的學(xué)習(xí)、生活、工作.上的挑戰(zhàn)和需要。
In daily teaching we have estabished a structural proportion of bilingual environment for Chinese and English Teaching in dfferent grades. On the whole, the proportion of Engish teaching increases with the increase of grades, reaching 40% in the first grade of primary school and 80% in junior middle school. Through this system, we not only advocate more use of English in day-to-day teaching, but also strive to improve the proportion of English usage outside the dlassroom including campus activities and daily life. We have been trying to create an immersive bilingual environment for all teachers and students, tell Chinese stories in English. Our students are flly equipped with the language skils to fully meet the challenges and needs of future international study, life and work.
2.以數(shù)學(xué)為基礎(chǔ)的創(chuàng)新思維培養(yǎng)
Cultivation of creative thinking based on Mathematics
列昂納多.達.芬奇曾經(jīng)說過:“數(shù)學(xué)是- 一切科學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)。”英國圣比斯公學(xué)與英國杜倫大學(xué)教育學(xué)院合作獨創(chuàng)了融合數(shù)學(xué)課,讓學(xué)生不僅能夠更高效掌握學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容,還能夠鍛煉數(shù)學(xué)思維,提高數(shù)學(xué)應(yīng)用的水平。我校融合數(shù)學(xué)100%保留了中國數(shù)學(xué)課程,既運用中國的數(shù)學(xué)資源與學(xué)習(xí)方法,也采納了英式思維訓(xùn)練模式與課程體系,以夯實學(xué)生數(shù)學(xué)基礎(chǔ)。我校將劍橋數(shù)學(xué)課程融入,提高學(xué)生數(shù)學(xué)應(yīng)用的水平,通過任務(wù)型、活動性課堂發(fā)散學(xué)生思維,全面提升學(xué)生數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的深度與廣度。學(xué)生在課堂中、競賽中、活動中、游戲中都能得到數(shù)學(xué)思維的創(chuàng)造性培養(yǎng)。
辦校三年來,我校學(xué)生已在國際數(shù)學(xué)競賽中斬獲各類獎項。2022 年袋鼠數(shù)學(xué)思維挑戰(zhàn)賽,我校學(xué)生獲得包括1個全球滿分成就獎在內(nèi)的24個獎項; 2022 年全國中小學(xué)生線上數(shù)獨錦標(biāo)賽,三位學(xué)生獲得前五名的好成績; 2022 年UKMT數(shù)學(xué)思維挑戰(zhàn)賽,學(xué)生獲得銀獎一枚;學(xué)校也獲得了袋鼠數(shù)學(xué)、澳洲AMC數(shù)學(xué)、少年化學(xué)家挑戰(zhàn)賽考點授牌。我校將以中國學(xué)生擅長的數(shù)學(xué)為基礎(chǔ),對學(xué)生開展創(chuàng)新思維的有效培養(yǎng),讓學(xué)生能夠走向更廣闊的科學(xué)世界、未來世界。
Leonardo da Vinci once said, "mathematics is the basis of all science." St Bees School in the UK has created a unique fusion mathematics course in partnership with the School of Education of Durham University. Our curriculum not only enables students master the content more fficienty, but also develop their sills in mathematical thinking and applications. Our Fusion Mathematics is bult on the Chinese mathematics curriculum, using Chinese mathematics resources and learning methods. In addtion, our course adopts the British thinking skill training and Cambridge mathematics syllabus to consolidate the students' knowledge base, as well as application levels. A great range of task-based dlassroom activities and international competitions stretch the depth and breadth of students' mathematics learning.
Since the establishment of BLS, our students have won various awards in international mathematics competitions. In the 2022 Math Kangaroo, our students won 24 awards, including one Global Full Mark Achievement Award. In the 2022 National Online Sudoku Champlonship for Primary and Middle School Students. three students won the top five. In 2022 UKMT Mathematical Thinking Challenge, students won a siver medal; Our school is the flclal test center for Kangaroo Mathematics, Australian AMC mathematics and American Young Chemist challnge. Bulding on the strong mathematical skils of our students, we develop students' creative thinking abiltles which enable students to move towards a broader sdentic world in the future.
3.以A-STEM為基礎(chǔ)的科創(chuàng)教育

我們處在一個科學(xué)技術(shù)變革的時代,從互聯(lián)網(wǎng)、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)、人工智能到智能制造,這一切都在改變著我們的生活方式。生產(chǎn)方式以及學(xué)習(xí)方式。中國STEM教育協(xié)作聯(lián)盟創(chuàng)始人、聯(lián)盟主席鄒曉東博士提出的A-STEM教育理念中,將“A"提到科學(xué)、技術(shù)。工程、數(shù)學(xué)之前,寓意人文引領(lǐng)下科學(xué)整合教育,指引著同學(xué)們尋找真善美的價值取向,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的仁愛之心。正義之貴、審美之慧,追求崇高的生活意義,不斷地豐富同學(xué)們的精神世界,給予同學(xué)們戰(zhàn)勝困難的力量。這與我校辦學(xué)目標(biāo)和使命非常契合,培養(yǎng)具有STEM素養(yǎng)的綜合性人才是達成辦學(xué)目標(biāo)和使命的重要手段之一。

Our school has been awarded as "Experimental Schoor by China STEM Education Collaboration Aliance. Under the guidance and help of the Aliance,our school carries out student-centered STEM science and innovation educaion, which stimulates students' imagination, creativity, spirit of inquiry and their ability of interdisciplinary integration and pracice. Driven by curiosity, inquiry-based learning becomes a natural practice. The spirit of scientific innovation leads students to challenge the future world.
4.獨特的英式院舍體系
A Uniquely British House System
作為省會首家劍橋國際認證學(xué)校,不僅為學(xué)生提供了純正的中英雙語教學(xué)環(huán)境,以及獨特的融合教育理念。還在學(xué)生活動中采用英式院舍進行分組管理,更好地保留了寓教于樂的基本需求,打破了學(xué)生年齡,性別差異,以及性格喜好的限制。從根本上解放學(xué)生們自發(fā)學(xué)習(xí),主動探索知識,彼此協(xié)作成長的天性。
院舍制,以老生帶新生的創(chuàng)新培育模式進行。有助于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力,發(fā)掘領(lǐng)袖特質(zhì),強化學(xué)生的集體榮譽感,提高團隊合作意識,為之后在廣闊的世界舞臺上自信、優(yōu)雅的生活做好準(zhǔn)備。
As the first Cambridge International accredited school in the provincial capital our school provides students with a Chinese and English bilinguall teaching environment, as well as a unique fusion education philosophy. Our school uses British Houses for teamwork management in student actvities. It retains the basic need of edutainment and breaks the barriers of students' age, gender and personality preference. It encourages spontaneous learing, active exploration of knowledge, and mutual cooperation.
Under the House System. the younger age group lean from the older ones. Ir's a way to develop leadership skils and characteristics, enhance sense of collectve honor, improve teamwork, and prepare students for a confident and elegant ife on the world stage.
學(xué)校每周在固定的時間進行2小時院舍活動。我們有各種各樣的比賽和活動,但學(xué)生們最喜歡的是:
-體育比賽,如橄欖球比賽,足球比賽,迷你奧運會和躲避球運動。
-語言方面,我們有英語和漢語詩歌/故事寫作和演講比賽,也有戲劇活動,由學(xué)院隊長帶領(lǐng)學(xué)院創(chuàng)作短劇。
House activitles are scheduled weekly, during the dedicated 2 hour House period. We have a wilde range of compettions and actitles, but the ones the students enjoy the most are:
- Sporting competitions such as rugby, football matches, mini Olympics and Dodgeball.
- for Languages we have English and Chinese poetry/story writing and speaking competitions, theres also Drama events, where the house captains lead their house in directing a short plays.

Per sonalised Mentoring System
學(xué)校延用英國圣比斯公學(xué)獨特的個人導(dǎo)師體系。針對學(xué)生發(fā)展進度進行跟蹤,記錄、反饋、調(diào)整,挖掘?qū)W生最大的潛能。入讀我校的每一位學(xué)生,在通過專項能力評估以后都會擁有自己專屬的“學(xué)生成長檔案”,記錄學(xué)生成長中的點點滴滴。通過定期與不定期的溝通,保證每一位導(dǎo)師充分了解學(xué)生的情況,進而做有針對性、個性化的輔導(dǎo)與幫助。
The school uses St Bees unique personal mentoring system, to tr ack, record and feedback on students progress. Adjustments are made along the way to develop students' full potential according to their personal situation. Every student enrolled in our school will have an exclusive "Student Development File" ater passing an ability assessment. Every step of their progress will be carefully recorded. Through regular communication, each tutor develops full understanding of the characteristics their students, and is able to offer personaised counseling and help.

UK Experiential Learning Courses
入讀我校的學(xué)生可優(yōu)先參加英國圣比斯公學(xué)的冬、夏令營項目,以及所屬合一教育集團旗下Our World English School和Studio Cambridge的英國頂級英語培訓(xùn)課程和營地項目。營地包括劍橋大學(xué)的紐倫學(xué)院、露西卡文迪許學(xué)院、雷德利霍爾學(xué)院、英國德威公學(xué)、 英國威雅公學(xué)、國王伊利公學(xué)、雷頓公學(xué)、凱特漢姆公學(xué)等。
Students erolled in our school enjoy the priority to attend winter and summer camp programmes at St Bees School as well as the premium schools in the UK run by Our World Engish School and Studio Cambridge, which are also a part of the Full Cirde Education Group. Our camp site indudes Newnham College, Lucy Cavendish Collge, Ridley Hall College, Dulwich College, Wycomb Abbey School, King's Ely College, Leighton Park College, Catheram College.
