少年說：分數(shù)之外 語言更是一種生存技能    

對于選擇國際賽道的孩子們來說，語言的學(xué)習(xí)是永遠的課題，在老師們的教導(dǎo)之外，時常也需要來自同一“戰(zhàn)線”的同伴們的聲音，分享最真實的體驗與感受，以便更好的成長...

來自弘益國際高中Pre IG班的張阾茜Lindsay同學(xué)，在扎實的語言基礎(chǔ)之下，也有著良好的學(xué)習(xí)計劃與學(xué)習(xí)方式，首次雅思考試即拿下8分。

Q：這是你首次參加雅思考試，你覺得自己最有把握的是哪一部分？

I’ve been an avid reader since I was a little kid， so I felt the most confident in the reading section. The other sections all felt quite unfamiliar to me because I never learned anything related to IELTS in Canada before. And there is a clear difference between the way people in English-speaking countries teach English and the way IELTS teaches people English.  

我從小就是個書蟲，所以我覺得閱讀部分最有把握。其他部分對我來說都比較陌生，因為我在加拿大從未接觸過與雅思相關(guān)的學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容。英語國家教授英語的方式與雅思考試教授英語的方式存在明顯差異。  

Q:你的雅思閱讀分數(shù)拿到了9分，對于英語基礎(chǔ)一般的同學(xué)來說，除了大量閱讀英文原著，你認為還有哪些方式可以提升這部分分數(shù)呢？

There really isn’t much you can do besides reading a lot and doing many practice questions. The more you read, the more vocabularies you learn. The more you read, the faster you’ll realize English grammar patterns. There isn’t a shortcut to learning a new language. Take things slowly, don’t try to rush your learning, stay consistent and you’re English reading abilities will naturally get better. 

除了大量閱讀和做大量練習(xí)題外，其實沒有太多其他方法。閱讀越多，你學(xué)到的詞匯就越多。閱讀越多，你對英語語法模式的理解就越快。學(xué)習(xí)一門新語言沒有捷徑可走。要慢慢來，不要急于求成，保持一致性，你的英語閱讀能力自然會得到提升。

Q：在日常的語言學(xué)習(xí)中，你有什么特別的技巧嗎，或者你認為需要特別注意的方面？

I don’t think people understand how important environment is for language learning, especially for speaking. If you knew no English before going to an English-speaking country, you will inherently learn the language because the environment is pushing you to learn it. It has become a survival skill. 

So what I would recommend to people who don’t have that environment, is try to mimic it as best as you can. For example, watch English movies and TV shows, read English books, play your video games in English.

 If you know people that can speak English fluently, converse in English with them! Also, very important, don’t be scared or embarrassed to speak English.

我認為人們并沒有真正了解語言學(xué)習(xí)中環(huán)境的重要性，尤其是對口語而言。如果你在去英語國家之前完全不會英語，你自然而然就會學(xué)會這門語言，因為環(huán)境會迫使你學(xué)習(xí)它，這已經(jīng)成為一種生存技能。

因此，對于沒有這種環(huán)境的人，我建議盡可能模擬這種環(huán)境。例如，觀看英語電影和電視劇，閱讀英語書籍，玩英文的電子游戲。

如果你認識能流利說英語的人，就用英語與他們交流！另外，非常重要的一點是，不要害怕或害羞去說英語。

學(xué)習(xí)之余，Lindsay也會積極參與各項活動

雖然已取得不錯的成績，但Lindsay表示，現(xiàn)在這個分數(shù)自己不是特別滿意，還有可以進一步提升的空間，因為有許多同齡人可能并沒有國外生活的經(jīng)歷，但他們也能取得更好的成績，而且語言的學(xué)習(xí)也并不是只為了成績 ，語言是工具、也是技能，對語言的學(xué)習(xí)不應(yīng)成為前進路上的相互比拼的壓力，希望能與大家一起，不斷提升自我，完善能力。

Lindsay very polite and attentive in class. Very eager to share her opinion and take part in class discussions, has been a model student from day one setting an excellent example for others to follow. Perfect focus during class time, full engagement, always submits her assignments on time, all A or A* quality. 

Although completely unfamiliar with the IELTS exam framework, she very quickly grasped all the requirements and the most important details all the students need to pay attention to when taking the exam. 

Lindsay在課堂上非常有禮貌且專注。她會積極分享自己的觀點并參與課堂討論，自入學(xué)以來一直是模范學(xué)生，也為他人樹立了優(yōu)秀榜樣。她上課時非常專注，全程投入，能按時提交作業(yè)，且成績均為A或A*。

盡管對雅思考試的框架完全陌生，但她迅速掌握了所有考試要求，以及考生在考試中需要特別注意的關(guān)鍵細節(jié)。

Lindsay同學(xué)有著一定的英語基礎(chǔ)，同時學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度非常端正。雖然之前并沒有接觸過雅思考試，但在本學(xué)期，通過課堂講解及練習(xí)，她對聽力的題型，考點及解題技巧有了逐步深入的了解，在雅思聽力單項中取得了十分優(yōu)異的成績。

在弘益國際高中的課程體系中，對語言的學(xué)習(xí)并不只是為了分數(shù)，不管是在雅思學(xué)習(xí)的課堂，還是在外教老師的學(xué)科課堂，我們期待每一個孩子能真正的認知到語言學(xué)習(xí)的重要性，讓語言真正成為能靈活運用的工具與技能，與世界溝通。
