2018年8月22日，上師大附二外美國(guó)高中教師培訓(xùn)會(huì)議如期舉行。On 22 August 2018,the American High School Department held their first conference of the new semester.

上師大附二外美高部教師培訓(xùn)會(huì)議

美高部負(fù)責(zé)人崔晶女士作出重要講話，她首先感謝所有新老教師的到來，希望所有老師齊心協(xié)力迎接新學(xué)期、新學(xué)生，開啟新篇章;其次，她著重強(qiáng)調(diào)：“我們的目的是培養(yǎng)具備全球視野的新時(shí)代中國(guó)年輕人。為了達(dá)成這個(gè)目標(biāo)，多元文化的教師團(tuán)隊(duì)，需要相互包容、相互理解、相互支持，為學(xué)生提供更加優(yōu)質(zhì)的學(xué)術(shù)課程和多種多樣的學(xué)術(shù)拓展活動(dòng)?！弊詈螅蘧恳圆┐蟮男貞?，平易近人的姿態(tài)，對(duì)所有老師發(fā)出誠(chéng)摯的邀請(qǐng)：凡是對(duì)學(xué)部的發(fā)展，有任何建設(shè)性意見，都可以與其交流。

Ms Cui Jing,the Head of the American High School division,opened the meeting with an important speech.Firstly,she thanked all the teachers for coming,extended a warm welcome to the new staff and expressed the desire that all staff would join hands in this new chapter of the school semester,working together for the benefit of the students.Secondly,she stressed that the aim of the department is to foster a new era of Chinese youth with a global vision.In order to accomplish this,our multi-cultural team of teachers needs mutual tolerance,mutual understanding and a mutual support to provide students with a high quality of academic courses and a wide range of academic outreach activities.Finally,she extended a sincere invitation to all teachers that her door is always open for them to share any constructive comments or suggestions on the development of the Department with her.

隨后，Mr.Trevor Wattrus(下文簡(jiǎn)稱：Trevor)發(fā)表了演講。

After that,Mr Trevor Wattrus,dean of the International Department,gave a speech.

Mr.Trevor先拋出一個(gè)問題：“我們?nèi)绾巫龅酶?”引起全體老師的高度注意。然后，再另辟蹊徑的給出答案：成為一個(gè)良好的團(tuán)隊(duì)，如何成為一個(gè)良好的團(tuán)隊(duì)——TEAM.TOGETHER,EVERYONE,ACHIEVES,MORE。即：唯有所有人一起齊心協(xié)力，才能得到更多更好的結(jié)果。

Trevor posed the question:“How can we do better?”.He gave the answer:“To become a good team.”The word:“TEAM”can be explained in this way:Together Everyone Achieves More.That is,only when we all work together,can we achieve more and glean better results.

老師應(yīng)當(dāng)是通過自己的工作鼓舞同事，啟發(fā)學(xué)生，激勵(lì)學(xué)生，推動(dòng)學(xué)生，最終達(dá)到良好的教務(wù)目標(biāo)。

Teachers should encourage each other through their own good example;inspire,motivate and encourage students in order to ultimately achieve good educational goals.

美高部教師培訓(xùn)會(huì)議

這樣的教務(wù)目標(biāo)是為學(xué)生服務(wù)：培養(yǎng)好學(xué)生，塑造努力學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生，鍛造有紀(jì)律感的學(xué)生，訓(xùn)練思維型學(xué)生，發(fā)展為未來做好準(zhǔn)備的學(xué)生。

This kind of educational administration aims at our responsibility to our students:cultivating good quality students,molding students who study hard,forging students with a sense of discipline,training deep-thinking students and developing students who are prepared for the future.

Mr.Trevor說：指揮家沒有演奏音樂的能力，但是他/她卻具備為別人制造音樂的能力。他希望自己以及所有的老師當(dāng)一名指揮家型老師。

Trevor made the analogy:“The conductor of an orchestra doesn’t make a sound,but he/she has the ability to help others create music.”His purpose in the new semester is to be more like a conductor who can awaken the limitless possibilities in others.

德育處中方負(fù)責(zé)人朱老師和德育處外方負(fù)責(zé)人Mr.Les Ververs老師為各位老師分享了學(xué)生手冊(cè)和教師手冊(cè)重要內(nèi)容，誠(chéng)意邀請(qǐng)所有老師一起努力，共同做好學(xué)生的德育成長(zhǎng)。

Ms Zhu,head of the Chinese section and Mr Les VerVers,head of the foreign section of Moral Education,then shared with the staff the important contents of the Student Handbook and the Teacher Manual.They encouraged all teachers to work together to help in the moral growth of our students.

本次美高會(huì)議為新學(xué)期，新起點(diǎn)，新學(xué)風(fēng)打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)，相信莘莘學(xué)子在品德和學(xué)術(shù)方面更上一層樓。

This was a very important meeting for the management and staff of the American High School division in which a solid foundation was laid for the new semester-a starting point for a bright new beginning.We believe that the results will be seen in the higher levels of academic and moral excellence in the students in the near future.
